Facebook deemed my comedy DVD cover pic as inappropriate!
Ok…this is the second time Facebook has deemed another one of my pictures as inappropriate. This time I’m filing suit against them. Last time I emailed them repeatedly and two weeks later my account was removed. After locating their office number I contacted them and my account was reactivated within two hours. However, they did not let me re post the picture. I attempted to call Facebook at the number I used last time 650-543-4800. This time the call asked me to press one for customer support. When I pressed 1 it said I could submit online. Ya right…. My next call was to my attorney. We”ll see what happens.
According to their terms of service I haven’t violated anything. My biggest issue with Facebook is that their terms of service regarding photos is very vague. Why can’t they explain the EXACT reason for the violation? What guidelines are used? Was my photo removed because the person who saw it was PERSONALLY offended? If Facebook’s TOS is based on personal opinion then we have a MAJOR problem. Last time I check there was something called freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Also, if this photo is deemed offensive then why haven’t any other social networking sites removed it? Facebook, it’s about time someone calls you out on your incompetence.
